In what was once North America, the Capitol of Panem maintains its hold on its 12 districts by forcing them each to select a boy and a girl, called Tributes, to compete in a nationally televised event called the Hunger Games. Every citizen must watch as the youths fight to the death until only one remains. District 12 Tribute Katniss Everdeen has little to rely on, other than her hunting skills and sharp instincts, in an arena where she must weigh survival against love
Growing up Laura Jean wrote letters to boys(not actually sending them) that she had crushes on because she was too shy to say it to them. Her younger sister finds the letters one day and mails them out. She then begins a fake relationship with one of the boys that she wrote a letter too, that turns into a real relationship.
Bruno is a 9-year-old boy growing up during World War II in Berlin. He lives with his family. After a visit by Adolf Hitler, Bruno's father is promoted to Commandant, and the family has to move to "Out-With" because of the orders of "The Fury".From the house at Out-With, Bruno sees a camp in which the prisoners wear "striped pyjamas". One day, Bruno walks along the fence where he meets a Jewish boy named Shmuel. Nearly every day, unless it's raining, Bruno goes to see Shmuel and sneaks him food.

LATE WORK
I do in fact accept late work, but depending on the assignment it gets more/less points off. As well as grade it for accuracy instead of participation.
ABSENT WORK
if you know you will be absent ahead of time, please inform me! If it a last minute absentee then you should check that days agenda on the website to see what you missed.
